This session will provide an all-encompassing overview of the global diamond industry, which will include the current state of the diamond market, the synthetic challenge, and the review of the second hand-market and the trends of the future.
Ezi Rapaport is the Director of Global Trading for The Rapaport Group. He has been the driving force in transforming The Rapaport Group’s values of creating ethical, transparent, competitive and efficient diamond and jewelry markets into tangible diamond trading platforms and services. Starting in 2006, he quickly developed Rapaport Auctions to become the world’s largest recycler of diamonds, which now handles over 500,000 carats annually from thousands of pawnshops, refineries and retailers. Ezi is a board member of Jewelers for Children, a charity with the mission of helping children in need. He has also participated in Harvard Business School’s OPM (Owner/President Management) Program which helps the world’s top executives and entrepreneurs realize their full leadership potential.
